What New Changes Will Be Brought In Diablo 4 Season 6? - Leveling System, Difficulty And More

Recently, the developers launched Diablo 4 Patch 2.0 PTR, and from September 4th to 11th, you have the opportunity to test the base game changes and new features that will be released in Season 6 and Vessel of Hatred DLC. After a few days of testing, we will find that the changes to the game are very large.

In this guide, we aim to summarize these important upcoming changes and talk about how you can prepare for these changes to have a better gaming experience after entering the new update! Let’s get started!

Leveling System

First of all, you must know that the leveling process in the new season is about to be significantly adjusted. This Paragon System has been separated from the character level. The maximum character level is now 60 and will provide us with 10 additional skill points. The maximum number of Paragon Points has also increased from 200 to 300.

In addition, they will also introduce a Stat Squish function, which will make damage numbers easier to understand and allow for future growth. This means that as long as you have enough Diablo 4 Gold you can keep rolling and distribute your Stats in a more reasonable way.

Difficulty

In the new season, we will get 8 new difficulties instead of World Tiers 1 to 4. From Normal to Penitent are considered standard difficulties, and higher standard difficulties mean that XP and Diablo 4 Gold you can get also increase, but only if you can handle it. After reaching level 60, you will unlock Pit. By playing Pit, you will unlock 4 new Torment Difficulties, which are designed to be used in the endgame.

Similar to World Tiers, Torments will also have their own penalties for Elemental Resistance and Armor. The higher your Torment Difficulty, the greater your chance of getting Legendary and Ancestral Gear.

Monsters in the endgame will no longer have a level associated with them, but will be directly related to your difficulty level. What’s more, the level system of Nightmare Sigils and Infernal Horde keys is also likely to be removed.

Paragon System

For Paragon System related changes, Glyph Leveling will now be done in Pit instead of Nightmare Dungeons.

Instead of using points to level up Glyphs, you will now have an attempt-based system. You will get 3 attempts per run of Pit. If you don’t die, you get an additional attempt. If you complete Pit 20 ranks higher than your current glyph rank, you get two bonus ranks per attempt. Completing a Pit 10 ranks higher than your glyph guarantees 100% success.

Glyphs can now be upgraded to level 100, have a new radius increase, and upgrade from rare to legendary at level 45 for additional bonuses. Each class gets a new Paragon Board, but you can only equip up to 5 Paragon Boards.

Item Changes

Next, let’s talk about Diablo 4 items changes in Season 6.

Ancestral Items

Sacred gear has been removed from the game, and Ancestral Items will drop from Torment 1 and higher. This means that Ancestral Items will be harder to find, come with a guaranteed Greater Affix, and are guaranteed to be at item level 800. However, any non-Ancestral Items will be capped at item level 750.

Runewords

In addition, Runewords are coming to Diablo 4 Season 6, and everyone will be able to use Runewords during PTR.

There are two types of Runewords: Runes of Invocation, and Runes of Ritual. Runes of Ritual will determine the conditions you must meet to receive an offering, while Runes of Invocation are skills or effects that will occur after you receive enough offerings.

However, note that the number of offerings required to overload will have an additional effect. And Runewords must be placed in gear that has 2 gem slots available.

In fact, you can think of Runes of Ritual as “prefixes” and Runes of Invocation as “suffixes”. The new Runeword System effectively allows players to test all rune combinations in search of the extra power that maximizes your character build.

Three Runewords can be used to craft new Runewords, while a large number of Runewords can be used to craft Mythic Uniques at Jeweler. Runewords of any rarity can drop from any monster in Sanctuary, so prepare your strongest builds that cost you the most time and Diablo 4 Gold, and go on a killing spree in Hell!

Class Changes

Finally, for the classes in Diablo 4 Season 6, each will receive a new skill as well as 5 new passive skills. This means there are more possibilities for your build to reach its maximum potential in the endgame.

In addition, PTR will include the new Diablo 4 Party Finder menu, which may provide new options for players who want to team up with friends to challenge dungeons. Don’t forget to visit Boost NPC in Kyovashad and skip farming items altogether to level up from level 50 to 60. You can also focus on the new upgrade system if you want to start from scratch.

So that’s all we know about the new changes coming to Diablo 4 Season 6. What do you think of these updates? Do you think these changes can save Diablo 4? Anyway, let’s wait and see!
